Based in Sydney and with a penchant for house music, Double-Up Records will sign, develop and nurture Australian talent to showcase to the world, as well as licensing outstanding international music, for release in Australia & New Zealand. With tracks from Harry Romero, Illyus & Barrientos and Croatia Squad already scheduled for release. Matt’s roots run deep in the Dance Music community, as well as being one half of DJ/production duo Avon Stringer, Matt Nugent is a respected House Music DJ in his own right. Matt has played all around Australia holding residencies at seminal clubs and club nights.
Matt has achieved Double Platinum and Gold sales in Australia (as an A&R manager) for multiple singles and compilation albums, multiple ARIA Compilation Charts and ARIA Club Chart number ones, iTunes genre charts and even a #1 iTunes artist album with ShockOne – ‘Universus.’ Matt has licensed numerous Australian releases to international labels for overseas release, as well as heading up worldwide releases for artists such as: Nicky Night Time, Generik, Kaz James, Tigerlily, JDG, & Samual James and Glover. Matt has signed and managed the Australian single and album releases for artists such as: ShockOne, Kaskade, Martin Solveig, Booka Shade, Bingo Players, Hot Since 82, DJ S.K.T, Riva Starr, NERVO, Morgan Page, Tensnake, Chris Lake, EDX, Dragonette, Cedric Gervais, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Afrojack, Sandy Rivera, Crookers, Sharam Jey, Phonat, Round Table Knights, S-Man, Erick Morillo, Michel Cleis, Reboot, Wiley, Justin Martin, Drop The Lime, Rogerseventytwo, Dirty South and many more.
